Oct 27
2 pm - 3:30 pm
Ages 16+
As the season changes from summer to fall, we are reminded of the transient nature of all things. In this collage workshop, we will be learning the technique of image transfers to create ghostly layered effects and embellishing our collages with sewing and other additive processes. Bring an image (photograph or computer printed) with you to use as a focal point (a memorial to a loved one, a place you long for, it can be a pet) and take home a one-of-a-kind creation for you or a loved one to display in your home.
This workshop led by mixed media artist Anastasiya Gutnik www.sokolikart.com
A minimum number of registrants is required, if it is not met we will refund your payment and appreciate your cooperation.
*A limited number of sliding scale options are available. If this class is cost-prohibitive to you, please get in touch: sokolikart@gmail.com

$110 four week series (includes $25 materials fee)
This Fall, bring the kiddos for creativity and fun with printmaking! This studio series will introduce students to introductory printmaking techniques while exploring their individual artistic expression. Hmmm, what is a print? How do we make one? What can we make a print of?! We'll explore this and more! Together, we'll work with the multiple to discover its versatility as a medium. Learn the art of the monoprint—where no two prints are alike—as well as how you might create an original design that can be printed over and over and shared! Come home with your own original art print ready to frame and your own printed tee!
Classes are led by local artist/designer Michelle Vorce. Activities include drawing, printmaking, performance, puppet making, sculpture and more!
Michelle Vorce runs Eclecto Studio, which began in 2020 after being impacted by the pandemic as a teaching artist working in schools k-12 across portland metro.
